SINAY: for a smart and sustainable blue economy

The technological start-up SINAY developed a software platform coupled with artificial intelligence to analyze maritime data from around the world.

CO2 emissions from commercial ships, weather, migratory habits of dolphins but also peaks in boat traffic in ports... the Sinay team collects and analyzes 350 terabytes of maritime data. For a smarter and more sustainable maritime economy.

Sinay hub

On this unique platform in the world, data is collected and transformed thanks to AI to create key indicators grouped in the form of modules that address major problems. Labeled by the Atlantic Brittany Sea Pole, the project, born in 2017, began by exploring underwater acoustics. It was then able to broaden the environmental and logistical issues: air and water quality, air noise, marine life and also route planning or reduction of CO2 emissions. Technical and scientific expertise at the service of offshore energy players, the maritime industry and all those who wish to contribute to the protection of marine diversity.

Help the development of Smart Ports

Economic activity is no longer the only parameter for evaluating port activity. In addition to operational issues, environmental issues are also being addressed. Thanks to AI-related technologies, new ports can be created: Smart ports. In the long term, they will reduce their operating cost while respecting the environment. Water quality, atmospheric pollution and noise generated by their activities can now finally be analyzed. Not to mention the port congestion analyzed by the ETA module (Estimated Time of Arrival). The precise data of the algorithms allow a reduction in the waiting time of the ships and ultimately better profitability.

A booming company

Many customers already trust them: the European Space Agency (ESA) and major references in the maritime industry (CMA-CGM, Wallenius Wilhelmsen), offshore energy (DEME, EDF, Scottish Power) and the protection of marine biodiversity (French Office of Biodiversity, ACCOBAMS)... But the start-up wants to go even further. On the occasion of the Singapore Maritime Week, Sinay announces a fundraising round of €5M. The funds will be used to accelerate the internationalization of the company and will allow rapid product growth. "Our ambition is to be an Ocean Tech company with a high positive impact on a global scale. We really want to use our technologies to help build a better world. " concludes the founder Yanis Souami.
