Each summer the Seahouse (la Maison de la Mer) offers tourists and Lorient's residents the possibility of visiting the first fishing french port as a tour. This year the tour opens from July 7th to August 28th..  There are enough possibilities for everyone:

The fishing network discovery :

- The day tide, the Lorient-Keroman's fishing port (in the mourning from Tuesday to Friday)
- Sustainable fishing aim, Ifremer of Lorient station (every other Friday afternoon)
- From fish to molecule, the IDMer technical center  (on July 24th and August 28th in the mourning)

The fishing port and its behind the scenes  (The day tide) is the most successful tour, but you have to wake up early ( at 5 a.m if you want to see the computerise sales ) if you want to see it well.
Carole Bouisson, scientific intermediary at the Seahouse, says that people often feel honoured in discovering the fishing port life so closely.

Shipbuilding discovery
- The 3000 ships harbour (on Tuesday afternoon)
- Ships' secrets, the Keroman's ship fixing area (on Thursday afternoon)
- The Lanester's cruise, the naval (every other Wednesday)

Good to know: some nice variations can be added, for example  the sea products tasting at Bar des Flots (avenue de la Perrière) on Thursday.
